The idea for this blog first came up last year when the three of us girls were all living in different places. We missed each other, particularly doing creative things together. Now this year, as our mum plans to move even further afield, we finally decided to do it.

That's why on Saturday night after dinner, the four of us left the gentlemen and settled down in the lounge room to decide on a name. There we put on an old record by Al Jolson that Mum had picked up at the op-shop recently, called "You made me love you". It didn't come immediately, but then Soph came up with the idea for adding the comma.

I like it because it can be understood different ways. It expresses our strong connection with Mum,  plus we want the blog to be about things that we've made and things we love. It also speaks of our heavenly Father, the one who ultimately, both made us and made us love him.

Incidentally, this song is also one of Papa's (Mum's dad) favourite songs, we love hearing him sing it!

So that's the beginning of our blog, but really it's just one way of continuing our friendship and inspiring each other now that we're apart.

All children are artists. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up.
